Privacy Policy
How we protect your creative journey and personal data.
At Riverine Brushworks, we're committed to keeping your artistic pursuits private. We value the trust you place in us when you sign up for a painting workshop or purchase an online tutorial. What data do we actually need to help you paint better? Only what helps us deliver a great experience.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, register for an acrylic painting class at our New York studio, or sign up for our art retreat newsletter. This typically includes your name, email, phone number, and payment information processed through secure third-party gateways. We don't store your credit card numbers on our servers. Period.
2. How We Use Your Data
Our team uses your information to manage your workshop bookings and provide you with the technique guides you've requested. Why do we ask for your phone number? Strictly for urgent schedule changes—like if a New York snowstorm forces us to postpone a session at 511A Greene Avenue. We won't use it for telemarketing.
Your Data, Your Rights
You have the right to request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it entirely from our workshop rosters. Simply email our New York office at info@sakuma.info to initiate a request.
3. Cookies and Analytics
We use minor tracking technologies to see which painting tutorials are the most popular. This helps us decide whether to film more advanced palette knife techniques or beginner color mixing videos. You can opt out of these through your browser settings, though some parts of our site might look a bit wonky if you do.
4. Security Measures
We implement professional-grade security protocols to protect against unauthorized access. While no system is 100% foolproof, we take every reasonable precaution to safeguard the information of our students and artists. Our digital environment is monitored regularly for vulnerabilities.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally as Riverine Brushworks grows or as legal requirements change. When we do, we'll post the new version right here. Do you have questions about how we handle your art education data? Reach out to us anytime.
